The program starts with a video of Krishnamurti (approximately one hour), then seeks to investigate, develop and explore the topic of the video via the medium of dialogue. Generally, there is a larger and a smaller group, but in each, the emphasis is on "thinking together" in such a way that our common consciousness can be uncovered, exposed, and understood.
Discovered as a boy by the Theosophical Society, Krishnamurti was groomed to be the new World Teacher, a role he repudiated in 1929 when he declared that "truth is a pathless land" and that his sole mission was "to set men . . . unconditionally free." For the rest of his life, he traveled the world exploring the issues of our common humanity with large audiences and invited participants. He had a special interest in education and founded schools in India, England, and California. Krishnamurti died in Ojai in 1986.
