This program starts with a video of Krishnamurti (approximately one hour), then seeks to investigate, develop and explore the topic of the video via the medium of dialogue. Generally, there is a larger and a smaller group, but in each the emphasis is on "thinking together" in such a way that our common consciousness can be uncovered, exposed, and understood. This group has no affiliation with the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
Discovered as a boy by the Theosophical Society, Krishnamurti was groomed to be the new World Teacher, a role he repudiated in 1929 when he declared that "truth is a pathless land" and that his sole mission was "to set men . . . unconditionally free." For the rest of his life, he traveled the world exploring the issues of our common humanity with large audiences and invited participants. He had a special interest in education and founded schools in India, England, and California. Krishnamurti died in Ojai in 1986.

In this thirteen-part series, Roger Weir explores the many mysteries of Mary Magdalene, showing her to be a misunderstood and important historical figure. She was a strong influence on the early Christian community and church, a major figure in an emerging esoteric spiritual movement drawn from the life work of Jesus, and an influence on the early Buddhist development in India, China and Tibet.
This Saturday morning lecture series, which started October 4 and ends December 27, draws on Weir's original research, "The Yoga of Civilization" educational cycle, and the recent lecture series "Jesus in Alexandria & Mary Magdalene" and "Hermetica America". Each lecture is complete in itself and may be attended individually but the lectures work together as a comprehensive whole. This is the thirteenth (and last) lecture in the series.
Mary Magdalene was the spirit companion of Jesus, and after his death, was the adopting mother of the young man who became St. John. She was the unrecognized poet genius of our "first Christian hymnal". She became an archetypal figure that saw many of her qualities transferred to the Virgin Mary mother archetype. Mary Magdalene was the High Dharma seed for the Lady Prajña Paramita forerunner to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and the enduring Kwan Yin. Her kin and the sisters of Jesus founded the circle of Glastonbury and energized the ancient British/Scottish royal lineage. This founded the Arthurian cycle, Celtic Christianity, and a major poetic ethos centering around the Quest for the Holy Grail and the Return of the "Once and Future King".
Weir is noted for his dynamic, far-reaching cosmic lectures that range from the most esoteric spiritual teachings to the latest in scientific exploration, while planting the seeds of dynamic personal transformation and nurturing self education.
