Ear Coning Instructions
Ear Coning Instructions (courtesy of Heavenly Healings)

Keep cones in a cool place, out of sunlight (can be stored in a refrigerator, but not necessary)Supplies: 2 hand towels, small bowl of water, scissors, 2 wooden BBQ skewers, Q-tips, Mullein flower oil, ear oil or olive oil (optional), matches or candle, plastic bag or paper (to place under your bowl), cottonballs (optional).
Notes:
1. It takes 3 separate conings to finish the cleansing started with the 1st coning. Space them 3 to 7 days apart.
2. If ears feel drawing or dry, use ear oil — a few drops of warm oil is soothing.
3. Excessive use is not wise or recommended.
The ear contains nerve endings and acupuncture points to every other area of the body, mind and emotions, the nerve endings are connected by streams of the subtle energy flow which carries our life force energy. If hearing is impaired or blocked we are disconnected from that energy.
Ear coning acts as a catalyst to clear out debris accumulated on nerve endings. This allows for clear vibrational flow to the corresponding area of the mind, body and spirit. This clears the way for other methods of healing.

Procedure:
1. Create a pleasant mood and relax. Put on soothing music and candles. Lie the person on either side with head on a small pillow OR lie flat on the back (with pillow under knees) with head on a small pillow and move head side to side.
2. Place one towel on the pillow and one to cover hair and neck to protect from possible wax drip. I ask for assistance (silently) from the devas of this realm of clearing. Center yourself.
3. Light the wide end of the cone and tap till smoke spirals out the small end.
4. Gently place the small end on lthe ear canal. Angle the cone away from the face 45 degrees. Adjust cone to seal the ear canal. Blow on the ear until sealed. No smoke should escape out of the ear canal. (The 45 degrees eliminates drip).
5. Let the wide end burn about 1- 1/2" down. Remove from the ear. Cut burnt section into bowl of water and leave 1/4" burning.
6. Turn upside down, ream out with skewer into bowl of water. Turn upright and tap until smoke comes out. Return to ear and seal again. Repeat. Burn half way down. It should take three cuttings.
7. Cut flame off or douse in bowl. Place cone down on plastic bag. Break skewer in half (for hygienic reasons — to make sure you do not re-use it).
8. The active force in coning is the smoke spiraling in the ear canal. We need as much smoke as possible pouring in. If the wax is properly emptied out each time you cut the cone you continue strong flow of the smoke.
9. Clean out the ear with a Q-tip dipped in il. Do not go deep. Gently swab only what you can see of the ear canal. This soothes the nerve endings. If one ear still feels plugged, you can use another cone. I use a pendulum or muscle test to see if another cone is needed.
10. Balance the ears. Face the person to you or position yourself at the head with the person lying down, face up. Place your hands on both ears and wait for an energy pulse between your palms. Release (silently) the person’s energy field from yours. Bring hand from ears to top of head to close the auric field. Put cotton in the ears to protect them from wind if you are going outdoors (not necessary indoors). A few drops of ear oil or olive oil may be put on the cotton (optional).
Clean and sanitize bowl. Remove wax from scissors with fire or hot water and wipe with a paper towel. You are done.
FOR THREE HOURS: If you are going outdoors, put cotton in your ears to protect from wind and cold. In warm, mild weather, this is not necessary.
FOR 24 HOURS AFTER CONING:
1. Do not immerse your head in water.
2. Put cotton in the ears to shower.
3. Put cotton in the ears if cold or windy outdoors.
